Sketch of Pinkie Pie for 2008 MLP:FiM pitch bible. Though it's been revealed previously, some of you may not know I pitched Pinkie as a pegasus. I thought flying would really compliment her personality. Early on, I was seriously debating whether she or Fluttershy got the wings, so even though we didn't go with my decision, it wasn't hard to switch them right back.

Well... Pinkie Pie was supposed to be a Pegasus in Mlp, but she got changed, she would have been called Surprise, a white Pegasus with a yellow Mane and Tail. ;3

I think it's really awesome that she's an earth pony because all of her crazy antigravity, superspeed, and zany fourth wall breaking hijinks wouldn't be quite the same level of shenanigans if she had wings or a horn. She's really Pinkie, the pony that can divide by 0, turn off gravity, have a tea party with a floursack, and break the fourth wall on a regular basis, when she has the same anatomical advantage as any normal earthpony.
