Help the Bronycon Documentary
Many of you My Little Pony fans may have heard the amazing news that John de Lancie, who played the infamous Q on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and who I was so honored to have play the villain Discord for MLP:FiM, has announced that he will be Executive Producing a documentary about Bronies and Bronycon.
The new news is that Tara Strong (voice of Twilight Sparkle) and I have been brought on board as Executive Producers, as well. And to make this documentary as amazing as possible, we are reaching out to raise even more money for film on our Kickstarter page. Please see the official announcement below:

MLP - Too Many Pinkie PiesHey hey everypony!
So we finally welcome back season 3 of MLP! I'm very excited for this season to unfold, and I hope that all of you are avoiding all the spoilers and commercials like you should be!
Next week, my first episode of season 3 airs, "Too Many Pinkie Pies." I had a blast working on this episode with my amazing board partner Dave. I have never gotten to do a full-on Pinkie Pie episode, so this was definitely a fun one for me.
Looking forward to seeing more fan content, I'm always amazed at all the talent out there!

BRONYCON Documentary is COMPLETE!
It's finally finished! It's been several months in the making, and took the dedicated efforts of some very passionate people to complete.
For those of you who may not know, Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony is a documentary (Produced by Michael Brockhoff, Executive Produced by John de Lancie, Tara Strong and myself) that endeavors to enlighten anyone who may be curious about who this unexpected fandom is comprised of, and just exactly why these adults are so passionate about something that was never intended for them.

Come on peopleOkay so I was talking to a person today about cartoons today. We had a blast we were talking about our favorite past shows and current shows. When we got to talking I mentioned how I had a crush on a few cartoon characters and he replied that it's not normal to do something like that. IMO there's nothing wrong with it. Everybody that watches cartoons will pick that one certain character they favor over everyone and will sooner or later develop feelings for them it's true facts. I have a crush on Gary from Pokemon and currently I "really" like Robbie from Gravity Falls but then again everyone has their own opinion. -_-

Wildlife Learning Center is a small, fantastic zoo in Sylmar, CA. They care for a menagerie of exotic animals and train them as ambassadors to help educate the public about wildlife preservation. Many of their animals are rescues from pet owners who kept them illegally, or rescues from the wild where various injuries would make their survival impossible. The fundraiser is being held to raise money for the animals' care.
What's extra special about Wildlife Learning Center

To clear things upIn case some of you were confused by the last journal entry, this one is to clear things up.
I don't hate all adult-themed shows, I'm just not fond of the ones that are basically nothing but sketches of real and fictional characters turning homicide and suicide related stuff into something humorous.
That stuff might have worked on those "Itchy and Scratchy" sketches on "The Simpsons," but seeing it done on the shows I've mentioned earlier, it just make things more..... traumatizing and mentally ill.

For MadTV, I only like the original sketches they have/used have like "Stuart" (Fred's more funnier man-child of a cousin) and "Ms. Swan." But these days they are just milking the pop-culture spoofs like crazy (with MLP: FiM being their main ingredient).
So is it clear now?
Blood and gore is acceptable to teen and adult shows, as long as someone doesn't use it for ill-comedy or mocking the dead.

Before I get to that, I'd like to thank everyone who came by and FLOODED my DA page with kind words, support and all sorts of love after I found out I wasn't to be included in the DVD commentary for Season 1 of MLP:FiM. I'm not sure yet why it happened, but hearing from so many people both here and at my Twitter assures me that I WON'T be forgotten when it comes to the adventures of a certain 6 fillies. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

So..... for all you Los Angelites (or anyone visiting right about now) my husband, Craig McCracken (creator of Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Wander Over Yonder) and I will be speaking on a panel about "Life After College." The two of us and some other amazing graduates from CALARTS will be speaking about how we navigated our careers after school and answering audience questions. I really like your show. It is nice to see something that isn't depressing for once. Big applause for you.

I wonder. Were some of the characters inspired by ones existing previously? Pinkie Pie is very similar to Mihoshi Kuramitsu and Rarity to Peorth. To a lesser extent, Fluttershy is similar to Belldandy, Twilight Sparkle to Raven of the Teen Titans animated series, and Rainbow Dash to Ranma.

Well that is disappointing to read... about the DVD commentary. Perhaps they will see the light and get an interview/behind the scenes commentary in a future release. I really wanted my daughter to hear from you about your involvement with a toy she has played with since she was 2 (now almost 9).

Yeah, I was really disappointed to see that you weren't on the commentary, but hey, some anime don't even get cast/translator/director commentary. It is strange that they didn't include you, as that would have been awesome, but the fact that there is a box set of an MLP season is a testament in and of itself to your mark on the animation world. I think it goes without saying that bronies and even the youngest of viewers will always remember what you've done for them. I have fond memories of seeing the familiar names of the original creators and directors that would appear at the start of the cartoons I watched as a child. John R. Dilworth, Arlene Klasky, Genndy Tartakovsky, Stephen Hillenburg, and Craig McCracken (you may have heard of him) are names I have known since I could read and haven't forgotten to this day. Even if bronies fade away, you will still be remembered for generations.
