Wildlife Learning Center is a small, fantastic zoo in Sylmar, CA. They care for a menagerie of exotic animals and train them as ambassadors to help educate the public about wildlife preservation. Many of their animals are rescues from pet owners who kept them illegally, or rescues from the wild where various injuries would make their survival impossible. The fundraiser is being held to raise money for the animals' care.
What's extra special about Wildlife Learning Center is that being a small zoo, you get the chance to see these animals up close! And at these fundraisers, you also get the opportunity to interact with many of them as well--- something hard to come by at larger zoos.
