Saturday mornings are super again. Harkening back to the glory days the 1970s and '80s when kids got their weekends going with Super Friends and School House Rock, Cartoon Network is launching DC Nation, a programming block that showcases the heroes of the DC Comics library. Anchoring the hour will be the CGI show Green Lantern: The Animated Series (10am/9c) and the continuation of the first season of Young Justice (10:30am/9:30c). Scattered Throughout the hour are animated shorts and interstitials with news and vignettes from around the DC universe.
Though some of the shorts feature big names like Superman and Batman, many will put the spotlight on "characters we've always wanted to see animated, but that might not be able to support a whole series," says Peter Giardi, senior vice president at Warner Bros. Animation, which is coordinating the block. Among the second-tier characters featured are Black Lightenin

DC Nation starts 2morrow- plus watch me on the webDC Nation begins tomorrow morning at 10 am on Cartoon Network! I really encourage everyone to check out ALL the DC Nation shorts. This program from Warner Bros. and DC offered a really great opportunity for artists, giving creators unprecedented freedom to do their own take on these classic characters. It's a refreshing creative agenda and one that really deserves support.

Q:  How can I get a job in animation?
The absolute best thing you can do to get into animation as a career is to go to art school.  Not only will you learn how to draw and how to SEE, you will meet people, students and teachers alike, who will give you new perspectives and will likely be the sources of your future jobs.  (My first job came from one of my teachers.)

Season Wrap UpWell, season 2 has finally come to a close,  and I'm sitting here and looking back on it all, with a few thoughts I want to share.
I just want to say thank you (again) to everyone that watched and enjoyed the MLP season finale this weekend.  There were lots of hard nights and long hours from all of us on the DHX crew to make it the best would possibly could.  Of course, there are things that are always going to be imperfect, but overall from what I gather, it seemed well-received.
I was also shocked at how many people recognized my OC pony that made a small cameo in this weekend's episode.  As a blanket response to a lot of the same questions I've been getting all weekend: No, I did not voice her and I'm unsure as to who did.  I would assume just one of the regular VA's.  She was put in kind of last minute.  The artist who drew her in the storyboard, made her look like my pony (just a coincidence), and after seeing i

Something that's been bothering me latelyHave any of you guys ever been invited to one of those "anti-brony" groups? You know, those groups that contain MLPFiM fanart yet it's a group that is 'against rabid bronies'? Cuz I've been invited to several of those groups in the past few months, and although I am not an 'insane brony', I really am displeased with this.
For one thing, the groups are blatantly bogus. They have names like "Anti MLP" or something which makes it sound like it's against the actual franchise, but they say that they're only against bronies. And then I tell them that I AM a brony so why are they inviting me and then they're like "Well we're only against the rabid fans, not the good ones." Um.......yeah, ok. You're only against the rabid fans. Well then why does the page say that it's an "anti-brony" group specifically? A Quick Note on Fan ArtHey everypony!
Lately I've been getting some fan art of my OC Pony Wild Fire, and I must say I love it all, and they are all so amazing! However, I also find that a lot of the time, the people who do all this great artwork never let me know about it personally. I'm not sure why this is, I sure hope it's not because people might think I'll get mad about it - quite the opposite, really. I tend to stumble on drawings and fan art on the internet and sometimes those images don't give credit back to the artist at hand, which doesn't allow me to say thank you personally.

What I'm trying to say is this; if you DO fan art of my stuff, please let me know! Link it to me, show it to me...if you don't, there's a good chance I may never ever see it. This Very Day...Yup! This was the day I uploaded my first pony pic on DA. I just said "I'll just draw her and that's it...." Look how that turned out. I want to say is thanks for all the support, comments (good and bad), attending my livestreams etc. This community is amazing. We had our ups, downs, and total oatmeal! Help the Bronycon Documentary
Many of you My Little Pony fans may have heard the amazing news that John de Lancie, who played the infamous Q on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and who I was so honored to have play the villain Discord for MLP:FiM, has announced that he will be Executive Producing a documentary about Bronies and Bronycon.
The new news is that Tara Strong (voice of Twilight Sparkle) and I have been brought on board as Executive Producers, as well. And to make this documentary as amazing as possible, we are reaching out to raise even more money for film on our Kickstarter page. Please see the official announcement below:

Working with Tara Strong?!Well, the title says it!

Turns out, Tara Strong has seen my animation! And when I asked her on twitter if I could commission her to voice her character, Twilight Sparkle, in a fan animation similar to my "Message from Vinyl Scratch." She got right back to me!

So why the question mark in the title then?

Well, here are two of the direct messages she sent me:
"Wow!! That's so fun!! I'm not allowed to do anything without permission like that, anything without SAG& I could actually b in big trouble."
"Still I'll ask! That would be totally fun!"
So yeah, I know odds are against me, but if this works out... Dang... Because Tara is right; this idea... The animation. Bronies will FREAK OUT!!

I am not the creator of Powerpuff Girls......or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I just worked on them. Those shows were created by Craig McCracken, who happens to be my husband, so I can see how people might get confused.
I know most of you know that, but it's seems a lot of people are getting that mixed up.

The Derpy Issue Part 3Seems like I need to clarify a couple things for people. If you don't know what the hullabaloo is all about, please read through the next couple paragraphs. If you're already caught up to the situation please skip to the second half.
Derpy's History
In the first season of Friendship is Magic, an animation mistake rendered a background pony with "derpy" eyes. The producers thought it was cute and left it in, occasionally sticking the pony in various scenes. While many people liked calling her Ditzy Doo (based on a remark made in Winter Round Up), the general internet population started calling her Derpy Hooves. Derpy became such a huge phenomenon online that the producers decided to include her in more episodes for Season 2. In Season 2 she started appearing more up close and doing strange things in the backgrounds, making for a fun game of "where's waldo" for the fans. The capper to all this was when Derpy got a speaking role in an episode and was referred to AS Derpy by Rainbow
